Jacob Datilma is a respected business visionary and community leader dedicated to strengthening economic opportunity and empowering families within the Haitian American community. With more than 15 years of executive leadership experience spanning real estate, construction, and investment management, he has founded and led several successful enterprises, including Smart Capital Construction & Roofing, Smart Capital Investment Holding, and Simplicity Investment Realty. Through these ventures, he has consistently created jobs, supported small businesses, and contributed to the revitalization of local communities.
Mr. Datilma currently serves as the Chief Executive
Officer of Smart Capital Construction Group, where he
focuses on building strategic partnerships, expanding
opportunities for minority-owned businesses, and
advancing economic growth initiatives that benefit
underserved communities.
A highly credentialed professional, Mr. Datilma holds a
Bachelor’s degree from the University of Central
Florida and a Master of Divinity from New Orleans
Theological Seminary and the Evangelical Institute of
Florida, Inc. He is also a licensed General Building
Contractor, Roofing Contractor, Electrical
Contractor, Real Estate Broker, and Insurance
Professional. His multidisciplinary expertise is
complemented by a strong reputation for integrity,
accountability, and results-driven leadership. Prior to his
entrepreneurial success, he served as an executive with
Target and has long been committed to pastoral
leadership—experiences that have profoundly shaped his
servant-leadership approach and community-centered
philosophy.
He is an active member of several respected
professional organizations, including the Greater
Orlando Builders Association, Orlando Regional Realtor
Association, Minority & Women Business Owners,
Florida Association of Public Adjusters, Florida Home
Builders Association, and the National Association of
Home Builders.
Guided by faith and a steadfast commitment to
excellence, Jacob Datilma continues to champion
initiatives that strengthen local economies, expand access
to opportunity, and build a more prosperous future for the
communities he serves.
